Recent data indicates a gap in the housing industry’s focus on accessibility and universal design. Individuals with disabilities and aging individuals often face challenges in staying in their homes. Our Home Modification Consultation service anticipates these needs, providing forward-thinking solutions to keep individuals comfortable and excelling in their homes. We collaborate with highly qualified professionals in the St. Louis/St. Charles area, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach. Our goal is to alleviate the stress associated with moving or renovating, making the experience positive and supportive.
What We Can Provide:
- Give recommendations before and during a home renovation or new build. This allows home plans to support clients to age in place or support a family with a medically complex child have a safe, functional place from infancy-adulthood to support the caregivers caring for the child as well as the child
- Whole home accessibility (i.e. wheelchair accessibility, adaptive equipment, kitchen set up, bathroom setup)
- Design a fun space that is functional to better support children with ADHD, anxiety, autism, and other children with a range of abilities (bedrooms, playroom, family rooms)
- Create a sensory room or sensory space to help individuals meet their unique sensory needs in the most effective way.
**We also provide services to schools and daycares! We give recommendations for sensory gyms, classroom design to support inclusion, and playground new builds or modifications to support inclusion.
